- About The Author Deirdre DeRiggs-Cameron was born on the beautiful Caribbean Spice island of Grenada. Throughout the years she has shared her wealth of knowledge by writing for magazines, newspapers and books on the topics of beauty and fashion. In addition she has conducted beauty classes, seminars and workshops and she has also been interviewed on numerous radio programs and has demonstrated her skills on television shows in the Caribbean and the US. Deirdre currently resides in Connecticut, USA with her two beautiful and brilliant children, Jourdan and Kassidy and her very supportive husband Krys, where she oversees the day to day operation of her makeup and photo studio, Jourdy’s Makeup & Photo Studio.
